You deserve financial independence
Investment management and tax advice under one roof. Let us help you get there, for good.
Where client assets are held
Client assets are custodied at Fidelity Investments, Charles Schwab, and Altruist. We use Dimensional Fund Advisors funds in client portfolios. These firms are not affiliated with Meta Wealth Advisory and do not endorse or recommend our services.
What we do
Two disciplines that most firms keep apart. We deliver them together, under one roof, by the same team.
-
Wealth Advisory
We build portfolios on evidence, not predictions or market timing. We focus on what we can control: asset allocation, fees, and taxes. Less noise. More results.
- Investment management
- Retirement & income planning
- Estate planning
- Comprehensive financial planning
-
Tax Services
Taxes are one of the biggest drags on wealth, and one of the most controllable. Every client gets tax preparation, planning, and compliance built into their strategy. More of what you earn stays yours.
- Tax preparation & filing
- Proactive tax planning
- Tax compliance
- Integrated with your portfolio
Built around you, not a model portfolio
Three very different situations. One standard of advice.
-
Young Professionals
Build a strong foundation while you're focused on your career. Tax-smart strategies, no minimum assets required, advice always from a fiduciary.
-
High Net Worth & Business Owners
You have unique challenges and need your assets protected. We have the experience to deliver complex strategies that genuinely improve your position.
-
Retirement Readiness
Whether you're approaching retirement or already in it, we have the expertise to navigate the journey, and the income strategy to sustain it.
Why we do this
The point of the plan
A portfolio isn't the goal. The goal is the part of your life that happens because the portfolio was built properly.
Why we started MWA
Most financial advisors manage investments. Most CPAs handle taxes. Almost nobody does both.
After decades working across tax, investments, and financial planning, I saw the same gap over and over: clients receiving advice in pieces, from advisors who couldn't or wouldn't connect the dots. And that gap costs clients real money, year after year.
I started MWA to close it. We bring together fiduciary investment management and proactive tax strategy under one roof, so every decision we make is working toward the same goal: your financial independence.
I believe in doing what the evidence shows actually works: strategies grounded in decades of research, not market predictions or gut instinct. Being a fiduciary means I'm on your side by obligation and by choice. And we don't just build plans, we implement them, and stay by your side through every chapter of your life.

Frequently asked questions
The things people usually want to know before getting in touch. If yours isn't here, ask. A real answer costs you nothing.
What does it mean for me if I'm a wealth advisory client of MWA?
It means someone is finally looking at your entire financial picture, not just your portfolio, not just your tax return, but everything together. As a wealth advisory client, you receive integrated investment management, tax planning, preparation, and compliance, all coordinated under one roof and built around your specific goals. We handle the complexity so you don't have to. You stay informed, in control, and confident that the right moves are being made on your behalf, every year, not just at tax time.
Are my investments protected at MWA?
Yes, and here's why. Your assets are held separately from MWA at Fidelity Investments, Charles Schwab, or Altruist, institutions that collectively safeguard trillions of dollars for millions of investors worldwide. We chose these custodians deliberately: for their security, their competitive cash rates, their lending capabilities, and the access they provide to global capital markets. You get the protection of an institutional giant with the attention of a firm that knows your name. And our fee never changes based on where your accounts are held. Our only job is to serve you.
What does it mean to be considered an "independent" advisor?
Independence means we work for you, and only you. Advisors at large wirehouse firms like Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, or a bank operate within institutional frameworks that can influence what they recommend and how they're compensated. At MWA, there is no parent company, no proprietary product to sell, and no commission check waiting at the end of a recommendation. We have access to the full landscape of investment options and we choose among them based on one thing: what's best for you. That's what independence means in practice, and combined with our fiduciary obligation, it's one of the most important advantages we offer.
Do I have to live in Maryland to work with MWA?
Not at all. While we're based in Maryland, we serve clients across the United States. Many of our client relationships are conducted virtually, with the same level of personalized attention and responsiveness you'd expect from a local advisor. Geography has never been a barrier to great advice.
